Artificial Intelligence and Relationships in 2025: My Vision for More Human Connections

In the age of artificial intelligence and permanent digital habits, the question is not only technical: how do we preserve more human relationships? This article connects AI, society, and personal experience to argue for relationships that are more lucid, balanced, and humane.

In the age of artificial intelligence and permanent digital habits, the question is not only technical: how do we preserve more human relationships in a society that keeps accelerating?

This article connects AI, society, and personal experience to argue for relationships that are more lucid, more balanced, and more humane. The point is not to reject technology, but to recover a quality of connection.

1. From a Fragmented Society to a New Search for Connection

Over the past few decades, we have observed a profound evolution in family and social structures:

  • The end of large intergenerational households where several generations lived together.
  • The multiplication of small apartments, studios, and people living alone.
  • An increase in societal problems: social pressure around couples, loneliness, depression, separation, isolation…

Real estate, over a few decades, has largely consisted of making large homes profitable by dividing them into small apartments or small units.

Result: more people live alone, which can generate isolation.

If, on top of that, we constantly stay behind traditional media watching the news, we mostly receive an anxiety-inducing view of the world, uninspiring, focused on sensational stories and everything that is wrong.

2. Another Choice: Learning, Reading, Joining Communities

Fortunately, there is another path than enduring continuous news. For example, one can:

  • Read personal development books.
  • Train oneself, online or in person.
  • Join teams, online communities.

In 10 to 15 years, social networks and the internet have evolved a lot. You can find:

  • Free communities.
  • Paid communities.

And generally, the more you want to earn money or improve skills, the higher the entry fee can be. Everyone acts according to their means, situation, and level of commitment.

But in all cases, it requires effort, discipline, and the desire to work as a team in a good atmosphere to achieve real results.

3. AI as a Tool to Be More Productive… Serving Relationships

For me, the vision of artificial intelligence is quite simple:

AI should help us be more productive on tasks we often do alone, in order to free up time and energy for relationships.

This can concern, for example:

  • Communication around one’s activity (texts, ideas, content).
  • Sharing one’s life philosophy, ideas, values.
  • Creating content for professional or personal social networks.
  • Writing messages, articles, reflections for family, friends, or community.

AI can help us clarify what we want to say, synthesize complex ideas, structure thoughts to attract people who share our interests, values, or projects.

4. Distancing from Extremes and Fear-Based Discourses

For some time now, I have decided to no longer follow the news daily. We have all observed the rise of extreme ideas or fear-based discourses:

  • Far right, far left.
  • Racism.
  • Conspiracy theories.
  • Systematic “rebellion” against anything representing power or institutions.

Freedom of expression does not mean “saying anything and everything.”

There are laws that regulate this freedom. For me, extremist discourses build nothing sustainable.

If you use artificial intelligence with a minimum of psychological balance, you can take a step back and see that the current situation is not fundamentally different from that of 10, 20, 30, or 40 years ago:

  • There have always been geopolitical conflicts.
  • Poverty and isolated people.
  • Very rich people and others who have nothing to eat.

What changes today are the tools. Among these tools, AI can help us return to more nuance, reflection, and dialogue.

5. My Personal Context: Neither to Complain About Nor Socially or Professionally Accomplished

I also want to situate where I’m coming from.

For example, like many people in France, I could complain about certain difficulties, but the reality is as follows:

  • I don’t particularly have difficult ends of the month.
  • At the same time, I don’t have enough savings to go to a bank and ask for a loan to start a startup.

Here is where I stand today:

  • I have a roof over my head.
  • I have enough to eat.
  • I have a fridge that fills, empties, then fills again.
  • I was even able to afford some heating this winter, which wasn’t necessarily my habit in previous years, when I usually wore three sweaters, or even a coat, and sometimes gloves at home.

Overall, we are moving toward a society where we can aim for:

  • Better family relationships.
  • Better friendships.
  • Better relationships within chosen communities.

The goal is to get out of isolation and paranoia fueled by some media to move toward more connection, more mutual understanding.

6. Those Quietly Preparing Tomorrow’s World

There are also people who are rarely or never mentioned in traditional media but who work behind the scenes to improve the world:

  • Associations, NGOs, international aid organizations.
  • Companies engaged in projects with social or environmental impact.

You can find these people, for example, on YouTube:

  • They sometimes have “only” 5,000 subscribers.
  • Some videos get 1,000, 2,000, or only 5,000 views, to a very targeted audience.
  • They are often interviews at events, conferences, meetings.

These people have succeeded in certain fields, have the means to invest in concrete projects that allow more people to:

  • Have a roof over their heads.
  • Eat properly.
  • Imagine a couple life, a family.
  • Thrive in their social and professional relationships.

For me, artificial intelligence fits into this vision: a world where people help each other more easily and understand each other better.

7. AI as a Facilitator of Dialogue Between Different Beliefs

AI allows us to:

  • Summarize in a few paragraphs very important principles about communication.
  • Put clear words on complex ideas.
  • Structure dialogues between people of different cultures, beliefs, and opinions.

When living with an open-minded philosophy, one is capable of:

  • Understanding points of view opposite to ours.
  • Dialoguing without giving up what we defend.
  • Peacefully fighting against what we consider harmful, prioritizing dialogue.

If two people with opposing opinions cannot calmly dialogue, it is often:

  • Either because the other person is suffering.
  • Or because there is too much social pressure around the subject discussed.

The future, in my opinion, must be built on dialogue between different communities, in a constructive and peaceful framework. AI can be a support to structure this dialogue.

8. The Foundations: Happiness, Health, Relationships, Finances

The foundations of personal development, if we take this example, are not centered on material wealth but on the pursuit of happiness:

  • Happiness for oneself.
  • Happiness for others.

One cannot think only of oneself, nor only of others. There is a balance to find.

To live a balanced life, one must notably:

  1. Take care of oneself
    • Work on health as a priority.
    • Maintain physical, mental, and emotional balance.
  2. Cultivate relationships
    • Family, friends, colleagues, community.
    • Learn to communicate, listen, and dialogue.
  3. Manage finances
    • Progress step by step to feel more stable.
    • Gain autonomy without sacrificing values.

It is by working on one’s own happiness that one can then pass it on. Happiness naturally spreads around us through our words, actions, and attitude.

9. Passing from One Generation to the Next

Historically, philosophy and life values were passed down orally, from generation to generation.

Today, we have:

  • Books.
  • Audiobooks.
  • Videos.
  • Podcasts.
  • And now AI, which allows summarizing, structuring, clarifying, and spreading ideas.

As for me, I am 44 years old. There is a generation after me, often more advanced than I am in everything related to IT or marketing.

At the same time, those with more life experience have much to share:

  • The good times.
  • The bad times.
  • The lessons learned from their failures and successes.

All this can contribute to a life philosophy that allows youth to follow a path where everyone can aspire to happiness, regardless of age.

10. Conclusion: AI Aligned with a Vision of Peace and Cooperation

To summarize, artificial intelligence:

  • Will not replace books, studies, or personal effort.
  • Will not replace taking care of one’s health.
  • Will not replace the importance of having a home, food, and living in a peaceful society.

On the other hand, it can:

  • Facilitate communication.
  • Help clarify and transmit important ideas.
  • Support better relationships, first locally (family, close circle, communities), then on the scale of all people who have access to this technology.

We are fortunate to live in countries where there is aid, laws, social support, associations, and concrete actions.

There are also people who have a true vision of the future, who work behind the scenes to improve the world, even if they are not talked about on television.

In my opinion, artificial intelligence is aligned with this vision:
a world where we understand each other better, where we dialogue more, where we help each other more easily, and where we build higher-quality relationships—for ourselves, for others, and for future generations.

It is on this basis, and with this vision of AI, that we can, in my opinion, lay solid foundations to be happy today and tomorrow.
